The house is accessed by either of two doors, one into the kitchen and the other into a small lobby. Directly off the lobby is a sliding door to the very useful, though restricted headroom, cave (40m2), with a small, full height atelier hidden in the corner. Stairs from the lobby lead up into the main living room (33m2), a beautiful room with exposed beams, a large poele a bois and a cute porthole window with a sink below. There is a raised seating area at the front by a big picture window, where one can sit and look down the street to the distant view. There is a larger seating area in front of the poele a bois. The staircase to the upper floors is situated between the sitting area and the dining area, which comfortably holds 6 people. Steps from the dining area lead to the galley kitchen (9m2) with the door to the road. On the first floor are two large double bedrooms (18m2 and 13m2) and a shower room with toilet. The attic has been converted for use as a huge bedroom/ playroom (21m2), areas of which are separated by beams.
Belves is a very popular tourist town, with beautiful views across the countryside. There are plenty of open spaces and walks. A small Spar supermarket is within walking distance of the house, as are the many quaint bars and restaurants in the top level of the town. The nearest large supermarket is about 6km away. All the beautiful chateaux and the Dordogne river are within easy reach. Bergerac airport is about 50km. away.
