About my area

Chambéry is a lesser-known jewel in the Alps. A capital city of the former Duchy of Savoy, it boasts an imposing castle, cathedral and an exquisite historical centre of pedestrian streets and alleyways. It is only a 10-minute drive to the Bourget Lake : the biggest natural Lake in France which offers some incredible recreational activities. The biggest Cross-Country Ski area in the country is only a half hour drive and Chambéry is less than an hour from access lifts to the 3 valleys and other major ski areas. The Tour de France makes regular visits to this area and the nearby Aiguebellette lake recently hosted the world Rowing Championships. Only one hour from Geneva and Lyon International airports and on a major motorway, the town retains nevertheless its charm and offers some amazing properties at reasonable prices. Choose from exceptional properties full of character in the Savoy vineyards or modern apartments and homes with pools and lakeside views : there is something for everyone and every budget in this area and you can guarantee you will be busy all year-round enjoying the alpine lifestyle.

About me

Passionate about the Alps and in particular the Savoy region, I have been living in France for over 30 years. I moved to France in the early 90’s where I raced for a cycling team in northern France. I soon moved to the Alps for the amazing lifestyle in this area and built a successful business in the cycle and ski industry along with a property portfolio in the area around Chambéry and in the ski resorts. With an in-depth knowledge of the property market in the area it seemed logical to join the Leggett team to help people find their dream home in this beautiful part of the country.
