The Quercy is a region that includes the departments of the Lot, Lot-et-Garonne and Tarn-et-Garonne. It is dotted with large limescale plateaus and gently sloping hills, criss-crossed by many rivers and scattered with pretty villages which are both picturesque and welcoming. Montcuq, Lauzerte, Montaigu-de-Quercy, Castelnau-Montratier, Penne d'Agenais, ... : there are so many sights to see. This area is also one of the gastronomic centres in France, specializing in foie gras, confit de canard, goat cheeses, truffles, walnuts, and Cahors wine. And don't miss a visit to Cahors, the capital of the Quercy, with its famous medieval bridge, the Pont de Valentré, its colourful market (every Wednesday and Saturday) and its relaxing pavement cafés ... A real taste of authentic France. Property prices have risen over the last few years in the Quercy area. This is partly due to the increase in the number of budget airlines flying into this part of France (Toulouse, Bergerac, Brive and Bordeaux airports), which makes access easier, but it's also due to an increase in foreign investment. There is a wide range of property available, including those sought after stone-built Quercy farms, perfect for renovation projects. And with the rental market being strong, this should ease the financial burden of buying a second home for those who only wish to use it for part of the year.

About me

We came here 13 years ago, pursuing our dreams, probably the same way you are ! The minute we laid eyes on « our » Quercy property, we instantly knew: this is it ! A few months later we drove ourselves and all our belongings down in a truck and started a new chapter of our lives. And what a chapter it has been ! We started our own Gites and B&B business, where we shared part of our French life with our guests. My partner, who is a chef, made sure our guests could also sample the good cuisine this area has to offer. It was hard work, but very rewarding and we loved every minute of it. After 9 years however, we needed a new challenge but wanted to stay in this beautiful part of France. I have always had a passion for property.
