About my area

Living on the boarder of the Dordogne and the Gironde in-between the pretty village of Le Fleix, yet just 5 minutes to the bustling bastide town of Ste-Foy-La-Grande with its famous Saturday market and amenities. We are surrounded at every turn by rolling fields of sunflowers, wheat, grapevines, and orchards which provide a spectacular green and gold backdrop to the beautiful medieval Bastide towns and fairytale chateaux which pepper the region and of course, the ever-present and stunning Dordogne river which threads its way across the landscape. Despite the rural setting, we have excellent links to both Bordeaux and Bergerac and the TGV with its fast trains to Paris and beyond.

About me

During a family holiday on a motorhome trip around France and Italy. I found myself looking at property online and instantly fell in love with a beautiful 18th century stone Manoir which we viewed through Leggetts. With no plans to move abroad 4 months later we had sold our house in Hertfordshire, closed my London recruitment business and started our new life in the beautiful Dordogne. My 7-year-old son is now fully ensconced in the local French village primary school and my husband and I are running our beautiful B&B, Manoir du Bois Mignon. We have made good friends and have wonderful French neighbours. I am now also working for Leggett in the hope of assisting others to find their dream property and life in France.
