About my area

Welcome to the Maurienne Valley, an enchanting destination nestled amidst the French Alps. Picture yourself surrounded by a panorama of snow-capped peaks and quaint alpine villages providing unparalleled natural beauty, authentic charm, gastronomic cheesy delights and serenity. The Valley is a winter wonderland during the snowy months, with no less than 19 ski resorts to choose from. There is something for everyone, from the longest green slope in Europe, the “escargot” in Val Cenis, to 3-star rated freeride runs in Bonneval-sur-Arc and Valfréjus. Add to that the quick and easy access to the largest ski area in the world, the 3 Vallées, via the Orelle gondola lift. As the snow melts, the valley undergoes a surreal transformation, revealing lush green landscapes, blooming wildflowers and glistening mountain streams. There is a plethora of adrenaline-boosting activities for all ages and interests, not forgetting some of the most iconic mountain passes in the Tour de France (the Col de l’Iseran and the Col du Mont Cenis to start with) making it a challenging and rewarding playground for cycling enthusiasts. Otherwise, embrace life in the slow lane and disconnect while witnessing bearded vultures soar gracefully overhead. This area is truly unbeatable, throughout the seasons.

About me

I was born and raised in the UK, then moved to Paris in 2009 to study Biochemistry at PhD level. While in Paris, I travelled back and forth to the Maurienne Valley which I had fallen in love with on my gap year before university. In 2011, I moved to Val-Cenis, and have established a strong connection and involvement within the community that I now call my home. I am a proud mum to 2 beautiful boys who are so lucky to grow up bilingual in such a wonderful, unspoilt area. I recently joined the real estate field after spending years in technical translation, sales and marketing. I have an instinct for keeping people and deals on track, through transparent communication with clear expectations. In my free time, you can find me exploring the mountains, either training for the next trail race, or relaxing with my family by the serene shores of an alpine lake.
